Our Mission

Ripple Learning is a private tuition company made up of a collective of inspiring like-minded tutors, teachers and individuals; each with a passion for learning, and the desire to share it with as many others as possible.

Our mission is to deliver inspiring tuition which powers positive social change: that’s why we donate 40% of our annual profit to educational charities working to improve educational outcomes of disadvantaged children in the UK.

Our motivation

The better we do, the more we grow. The more we grow, the more we give back.

We have seen that COVID-19 has had a significant impact on children’s learning in the UK, but in particular for pupils from low-income backgrounds who do not have access to laptops, stable internet, or a designated working space in which to learn remotely. These children are on average 18 months behind their peers by the end of their GCSEs – a figure that has not improved since 2014. With the impact of COVID-19 factored in, this gap is set to increase in the years ahead, having negative long-term effects on social mobility.

In these hard times the tuition sector has been fortunate to have experienced substantial growth, putting us in a better position than any to help. The National Tutoring Programme is a great short-term initiative to help reach as many children as possible in the next year or so; however, we believe that Ripple Learning and the private tuition sector can take this initiative further and be a part of the long-term solution.

By choosing Ripple Learning to support your child, you will also be helping many others get the best start possible.

Ways you can help

If you’re looking to help contribute to our mission, we’re very grateful! Here are a few ways to support us:

  • If you’re not currently looking to receive tuition – but know someone who is – simply spreading the word about Ripple Learning is always appreciated.
  • If you are a tutor, we are always looking for inspiring and engaging tutors who align with our mission to join our team – we’d love to hear from you!
